About the tester

Welcome to the pages devoted to the testing and evaluation of the device advertised as the "Doggy Do Right," commonly referred to as the DDR. Impressive claims have been made for this device, both on newsgroups in the rec.pets hierarchy, and on the World Wide Web site where it is advertised. Because of curiosity among newsgroup readers as to its nature, functionality, and very existence, the owner of this site, with financial sponsorship from some readers of the rec.pets.dogs.behavior newsgroup, purchased a unit to explore the facts.
To read some of the claims made for the DDR, which are being put to the test, visit the Advertised claims page. For a physical description (appearance, size, weight, observations) click on Description. To read the instructions shipped with the device, or to see a comparison between some of the claims made for its function and the relevant instructions, check out the Instructions page. To find out about the tester's experience with the vendor in the attempts to acquire a DDR, and how it was finally obtained click on Obtain. For descriptions of the tests performed (planned), visit the Tests performed page. To read about the tester, including background, motivations, and possible biases, go to the Tester page.
If, after reading claims made for the DDR on this site or elsewhere, you would like to suggest a test to be performed, or if you have read some claims either posted on the World Wide Web or posted to one of the "pet" newsgroups which you think should be included on the Advertised claims page, please email the Tester and preferably also post your suggestion on rec.pets.dogs.behavior.
